ARC ABSTRACTED
Fashion for cancer support.
Arc Abstracted
Designer & cancer survivor Helen Cody asked us to help her brand an ambitious charity event bringing the Irish fashion community together to raise funds for ARC Cancer Support Centres. The exhibition and print sale of images by photographer Eilish McCormick featured works from a talented band of thirteen Irish designers including Simone Rocha, John Rocha and Philip Tracey.
Inspired by the bold typography of fashion editorial art director Alexei Brodovitch we created an elegantly playful logotype for the event and exhibition. The somber black on black/white fitted well with the gravity of the cause while aesthetically playing in the world of fashion & editorial. It was really good to be a part of something so positive and creative. What was initially planned as a one-off event (with a zero budget) was a runaway success and we’re looking forward to doing it all again soon.
